DIRECTIONS AND CAR PARKING

Wembley Stadium has been labelled as a 'public transport' destination, meaning that there is limited parking available at the stadium itself and there is also a residents only parking scheme in operation in the local area. The pricing and availability of stadium parking varies per event. More information and bookings can be made on the official Wembley Stadium Parking website. There is also the option of renting a private driveway near Wembley Stadium via YourParkingSpace.co.uk.

The stadium is well signposted from the end of the M1 & M40. Basically the stadium is just off the A406 North Circular Road.

From the M1:

At the roundabout at the end of the M1, turn right onto the A406 (North Circular/West Wembley). Continue along the A406 for a couple of miles and then after crossing a metal suspended bridge, you will pass a McDonalds on your left. At the traffic lights with an Ikea Store on one corner bear left onto Drury Way. Keeping the Ikea store on your right go straight across the next two roundabouts. You will pass a Tesco petrol station on your right and then at the traffic lights turn left into Grand Central Avenue (B4557). The stadium is at the end of this road.

I would recommend parking at one of the tube stations at the end of the Metropolitan line such as Uxbridge, Hillingdon or Ruislip or at Stanmore on the Jubilee line and then take the tube to Wembley Park.

BY TRAIN OR LONDON UNDERGROUND

Wembley Park Tube SignThe nearest London Underground station is Wembley Park which is around a ten minute walk from the stadium. This is served by both the Jubilee & Metropolitan lines, although it is best to take the latter as it has less stops. Wembley Central is slightly further away from the stadium and has both rail & underground connections. This underground station is served by the Bakerloo line, whilst the railway station is on the London Euston-Milton Keynes line. The nearest train station is Wembley Stadium which is on the London Marylebone-Birmingham line.

For travelling across London by public transport I recommend planning your journey ahead with the use of the Travel For London Plan your journey website.

PUBS FOR AWAY FANS

The designated pub for away supporters is the Green Man, which is located on Dagmar Avenue on Wembley Hill. For many years this pub has been a popular venue for fans visiting Wembley Stadium and is around a 15-20 minute walk away. The pub also offers parking which is free for coaches, but minibuses cars are charged £20 and £15 respectively, these should be pre-booked. See the Green Man Hotel website for more details and location map. Although there are plenty of other pubs and bars around Wembley, most of these do not admit visiting supporters. Otherwise, it may be an idea to plan to drink in Central London before the game or at a pub located near to one of the tube stations such as Harrow-on-the-Hill, that are on the same tube line to Wembley.

Near to the stadium is the London Designer Outlet which has a number of eating places such as TGI Fridays, Frankie & Benny’s and Nando’s, which also serve alcohol. Beer is also available to buy within Wembley Stadium itself in the form of pints of Carlsberg Lager (£4.95), Somersby Cider (£4.95) and Tetley's Bitter (£4.50).

WHAT IS IT LIKE FOR AWAY FANS?

Away fans are housed in the South East corner of the stadium in the lower tier. Although the stadium has a capacity of 90,000 only 3,000 tickets will be made available for Premier League games to visiting supporters, which is compliant with League rules. For Cup games then further blocks in the lower tier of the South Stand extending around towards the half line may also be allocated.

Most English football fans look forward to a trip to Wembley and this should be no exception. For some, this will also be quite a novelty this season to see their team play a league or cup game on the hallowed turf. The facilities within the stadium are excellent and the concourses spacious. On the concourses, they also have betting facilities, programme kiosks as well as a number of flat screened televisions. There are plenty of food and drink outlets available, meaning that queues never seem to get too long. There is a range of Pies on sale including Steak and Ale, Chicken Balti and Bombay Vegetable (all £4.30). There is also an offer of a Pie and a Pint of beer for £9, The views inside of the game going on are generally good and the leg room adequate. Add in an excellent PA system and some of the largest digital screens in the country, then the stadium may well be rocking!

New Bag Policy

Please note that Wembley Stadium have introduced restrictions on the size of bags that can be taken into the stadium. This applies to all supporters. Bags that are larger than A4 in size (Height 297mm, Width 210mm and Depth 210mm), will need to be dropped at a dedicated bag drop at the stadium at a cost of £5 per item. Bags can then be collected from the bag drop after the match has finished.
