Wadsworth fails with Chopra bid

The former Newcastle coach’s team are currently bottom of Division Three and have scored just 19 league goals this season.

But with a busy programme ahead and Chopra now on the fringes of the first team, we turned the bid down.

A forlorn Wadsworth said: "I think if we can get anyone, I still think that it needs to be someone who can score goals.

"I looked at Chopra this week from Newcastle. Bobby was willing to help but it was stopped at a higher level, which I understand."

With the Terriers currently unable to pay all of their own players quite how they were hoping to finance the deal is anyone’s guess.
