Tahar El Khalej, who attempted to end Kieron Dyer’s career at St Mary’s last season has, been released by Southampton.

The Moroccan defender said: "I don't know what I am going to do now. Maybe I will go home to Morocco.

"It is very sad to be going because I love the club, the city and the fans."

Lets hope he doesn’t get himself fixed up with another club.

Meanwhile Uriah Rennie obviously isn’t satisfied with ruining Premiership games as he is to take charge of the biggest game in Egyptian football, the Cairo derby between Al Ahli and Zamalek on Thursday.

Look out for ‘Cairo football riots’ headlines in Friday’s papers.
