Viduka Would Have Been At Home In '2 Team' League!

Viduka is available on a free transfer after seeing out his contract at Newcastle, and there have been some suggestions that Celtic could be after their former star.

Mowbray: "Mark has been involved in a difficult season in England with Newcastle, but I would suggest that at this moment I think that's pretty unlikely that that would happen.

"I am looking forward to working with the existing strikers we have got.

"We have just completed the signing of a centre forward - Marc-Antoine Fortune - and I am looking forward to try and gel our existing strikers together."

Viduka, carrying a lot of extra weight (and he's ALWAYS been a fat bugger!), was a liability to Newcastle last season.

His appearance at Anfield at the close of the season was testimony to his die-hard "fight for the cause" mentality (NOT!) when the stats showed Nick Butt covered the distance of half a marathon while Viduka just about made it to the burger bar.

While he remains without a club, Viduka stands to pick up around £320,000 before tax from United this month under the terms of his old £80,000-a-week contract.
