They were knocked out of the 2007 Asian Cup at the quarter-final stage,
but coach Graham Arnold says he will try his hardest to get the Newcastle striker to stay involved until the 2010 World Cup.

Australia were dumped out by Japan after a penalty shootout. The
game ended 1-1 and Vince Grella was shown a red card after 75 minutes.

Viduka: "I don't know what I will do. It would be stupid for me to say anything now.

"But I've got no regrets about coming here. All in all, I'm happy I was
involved with the Asian Cup.

"We were happy to get to the penalty situation being with 10 men for most of
the game - it was difficult.

"We've been on the good end of a penalty shootout. Now we've been on the
rough side."
