Viduka Makes Debut Today

The 31-year-old striker has just eight strikes in 39 appearances for the Socceroos, but Kewell and Viduka were partners at Leeds where they built up a good understanding on the pitch.

Viduka: "When I play by myself it is sometimes difficult to get into positions. But when Harry comes on we have a good understanding, probably because of the Leeds days, and a lot of the times we combine very well without any effort really - it just comes automatically.

"I have played with Harry for a long time at Leeds and it makes it a lot easier because he knows where I run and I know what he is going to do so it is a lot easier."

Thailand and Iraq got the AFC Asian Cup under way on Saturday evening as they drew 1-1 in the their first Group A game.

Australia face Oman in the other game in the group on Sunday afternoon.
