 On the subject of an `eye in the sky' to make the type of decision which went against them yesterday, Souness said: "It should be only a matter of time until that happens.
"I've not seen the replay but I understand it did go over the line and I would love to hear the linesman's explanation. I would love to tell you about how I feel but I can't, for obvious reasons. Suffice to say the decisions throughout were not particularly kind to us."
Shearer echoed Souness' view on the need for referees to be given video assistance. The Newcastle skipper said: "I knew straight away the ball was over the line. The keeper missed it and it hit the defender who was stood a yard behind the line. There's no way it didn't cross the line."
However, TV coverage could decide if it was a goal either. The studio panel still couldn't come up with an answer.
