Upson Will Be Top Target In January!

Although West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola has repeatedly insisted that he will not be forced to sell in the January transfer window, the financial mess the Hammers find themselves in suggests he is living a dream.

The Hammers also face a potential £30million payout to Sheffield United over the Carlos Tevez affair, which just adds more misery to their gloom.

England defender Upson is their most saleable asset, and once they sink into the relegation zone (as expected) they will be facing the biggest mess in their history.

Upson: "Speculation can be flattering and is part of what's happening at the club. There are rumours every player is for sale but the owners haven't clarified anything.

"It's a difficult period financially and people are aware but I'm happy playing here at the moment, I am enjoying my football."
