United have never played Cheltenham in any competition, but how can we forget Chester's 2-0 FA Cup third-round victory at St James' Park in 1980?
That it the game Ian Rush, then a young striker, scored the second goal for Chester that day and Newcastle offered Chester £100,000 for him but he prefered a move to Liverpool. But he did sign for the Toon in 1997 from Leeds United.

Rush: "That was a real FA Cup shock because Chester were in the old Third Division while Newcastle were flying high. But if there's one thing I remember from my time up on Tyneside it's just how much the FA Cup means to the Newcastle fans."
