Trippier to make debut in FA Cup tie

Defender will start game against Cambridge.

Newcastle United face Cambridge United in the FA Cup 3rd round at St James Park this afternoon and with under an hour to kick-off the Toon team has been confirmed.

New signing Kieran Trippier will make his Magpies debut while Allan Saint Maximin has recovered sufficiently from an injury to make the starting eleven. Callum Wilson is not in the squad as he continues to struggle with a knock, Matt Ritchie captains the side.

Cambridge United are 16th in the League One table, they are without a win in their last three matches and have failed to score in each of them. They beat Exeter City in the 2nd round of the FA Cup to reach this stage of the competition.
