Rafael Benitez will, once again, be without DeAndre Yedlin, the full-back has not recovered from the thigh injury that kept him on the side-lines for the midweek game against Reading.
Also missing through injury will be Isaac Hayden and Rolando Aarons, the midfielders will miss the clash with ankle and knee injuries respectively.
However, on a positive side, their top-scorer Dwight Gayle could start after making two successful appearances form the subs bench after overcoming a hamstring injury.
