Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen has ruled out a move to Newcastle saying he wants a move to London, and according to Spanish press reports, he will be a West Ham player next season.

The former Chelsea star looks to be on his way from the Catalan giants, despite the fact his contract does not run out for another two years, after a season of struggling to maintain a regular first team place.

Barcelona new coach Josep Guardiola says he can leave for a fee "around the £5m mark".

West Ham boss Alan Curbishley is hot favourite for the striker's signiture, but Harry Redknapp wants to take him to Portsmouth
