Toon Still Working In 'Mysterious Ways' With Transfers!

... agents offering players to Joe Kinnear.

Is that how it works at SJP these days? What happened to the time when the Toon manager picked the players he WANTED ... rather than be satisfied with what he gets?

It's a bizarre way of working, but apparently Mike Ashley has it sorted (which has already given me sleepless nights).

But Kinnear isn't building his hopes up too soon, because even those players 'pushed his way' are not guaranteed.

The Journal reports:

The Magpies have already been contacted by a number of agents regarding the possible availability of their players, and Kinnear has been considering a number of options.

Nothing, though, can be done until Newcastle have ensured their top-flight survival and Llambias knows the importance of Saturday's trip to Hull City.

He said: "Joe won't stop thinking about Newcastle, the team, the coaching staff and everything else. He's in good spirits, but he knows we're in a difficult position.

"The Hull City game looks as though it will be a massive one for the club and we all realise that.

"As well as analysing all the tapes and passing messages on to Chris Hughton, he is also looking at transfer targets and things like that.

"But we have to make sure we are safe before we start setting the ball rolling on those sorts of things."
