Jose Enríque: “I think we need to be realistic.

“We played in the Championship last year and won it. I think we have a good squad, but we cannot get too carried away.

“We have not signed too many players yet and the Premier League is a very difficult league. We need to be a little bit quiet. We will see what happens.

“We need to see what the division is like but, whatever else happens, the most important thing is that we are still a Premier League team at the end of next season.

“It is very important to be back in the Premier League – for the club and for the fans.

“This is a big club. This is a club which can play in the Champions League or the Europa League – but not now. Not yet.

“We played in the Championship last year, now we play in the Premier League, but we cannot expect to achieve massive things overnight.

“We need to stay in this division and gradually build.

“It is our first season back in the Premier League. We have to stay in the division.

“We want to do better than that – but that is the most important thing.”
