Barton, who is serving a six-month prison sentence for assault and affray, is facing a further trial for allegedly assaulting former Manchester City team-mate Ousmane Dabo.
What is now a six-month sentence could become FIVE YEARS ... and Newcastle are not going to back a player who has serious problems, and has even said "prison doesn't bother me".
Obviously it does ... he has been moved out of Liverpool prison (allegedly) for his own protection.
