Toon Season-Ticket Holders Miss Out On VAT Cut!

Value Added Tax goes to the government! Not to Newcastle United FC!

So what about the 40,000 season ticket holders who have paid upfront for matches that start from December 1st? Will they get their 2.5% VAT back?

If not ... why not?

How about those who pay for their season by direct debit? They haven't paid upfront ... so should be entitled to a cut in tickets.

The 2.5% VAT cut comes into effect nationwide on Monday but will not filter down to the price of United seats until the pre-Christmas visit of Tottenham Hotspur because tickets for matches between now and the December 21 game have already gone on sale.

The discount also extends to official United merchandise purchased from club shops.
