Toon Ranger Says Premiership Start Would Be 'Crazy'!

Nile Ranger: "I was told by the gaffer I was starting against Birmingham. I was gutted - that was my chance.

"Obviously, you can never predict the next game and who's starting.

"The last time I started a league game was the Championship, but to start a Premier League game would be crazy.

"I wanted the game to be on so badly so I could show everyone what I could do, but it got called off. I've got to take it on the chin.

"He's sees what I'm doing in training and trusts me to go out and do it in an actual game, and that's a big thing.

"I'm still young and learning, so he's taking a chance on me.

"A new manager could just say he likes you, but when he said 'I like you, and I want you to play', it meant a lot.

"I'm the youngest out of all the strikers, so it's a big thing for me.

"He told me he was at the Chelsea game, and I think I did all right. For him to have seen that was good.

"I'm not going to get too big for myself, I'm going to stay level-headed. I've just got to take that chance when it comes, and, hopefully, I'll get a goal.

"It'll be a special moment when I get a Premier League goal."
