Toon Players Want Venables!

Following our report yesterday when we (NU Mad) told of rumours from London that Mike Ashley was set to offer Terry Venables an open cheque to save Newcastle's season ... The Sun also claims a move is close at hand.
Newcastle have a two-week break before we play
Chelsea, and the momentum is certainly building for a new 'stand in' boss.
Now, according to The Sun, the Newcastle PLAYERS want Venables!
Third-bottom Newcastle are two points adrift of safety with eight games to go and a club insider told The Sun: 'The players have all been talking about how they need someone of real authority to sort it out.
'There is no leader since Joe Kinnear took ill. It is not that they don't respect Hughton as a coach because they do, but he is no manager.'
Ex-England boss Venables was asked to take temporary charge when Kevin Keegan left in September but turned it down because owner Mike Ashley was trying to sell the club.

Newcastle have strengthened their youth ranks by taking Slovakian teenager Lubomir Korijkov on trial.
They are also one of a number of clubs, including
Middlesbrough, looking at Kosice's 16- year-old Brazilian defender Dionatan Nascimento.
