Toon Player Fighting Against Time

He lasted 76 minutes as he continued his fight for fitness, and even sent out a rallying call to Glenn Roeder that he has his eyes on a first team return.
 
 
The 27-year-old Frenchman has been on a downward spiral after leaving Newcastle. And many though his free-transfer in September was an act of desperation from the Toon manager.

Bernard had a major hip problem that seemed to rule him out for the entire season, and Roeder made it plain he would not renew his contract in the summer. But the left-back has bounced back and he says the first team is his next step.

What Glenn Roeder has to say about it ... we'll wait and see.
