Toon Move For 'Easy Target'!

Shorey was a target of Glenn Roeder and Sam Allardyce when they were at Newcastle, and although Kevin Keegan has never mentioned the defender, we've been waiting for the connection.

Shorey was once hot property when Steve McClaren included him in the England set up, but he has hardly been uprooting trees in the latter half of the season.

So Reading's relegation was the chance for the media to make Shorey an 'easy target' for any club chairman that happens to have £2.5million in his arse pocket.

The Daily Star says Shorey will "lead a mass exodus from relegated Reading" ... but the Daily Star has a habit of printing bollox.
