Toon Keeper On His Way Out?

Tim Krul, who won the 'Man Of The Match' award in his one and only game for the first team in the fabulous 1-0 win in Palermo, is tipped to join Roda JC next season on a 12 month contact.

The 19-year old has asked Sam Allardyce to release him for a year, but the Toon boss could insist he stays. Glenn Roeder drafted in veteran Pavel Srnicek as cover for Steve Harper when Shay Given was injured. He obviously wanted experienced cover rather than take a chance on the youngster, and Sam could go the same way.

But you only get experience by playing in big games, and Krul sees that chance by returning to Holland.

Krul is currently in Holland preparing with the Dutch team for the upcoming European Under-21 Championship.
