I'm sorry, but I couldn't help but laugh at the report in the Sunday Sun this weekend as they covered: "Newcastle United are considering giving away a scarf with every season ticket this summer.
"The idea comes as a result of the success of allocating a black and white scarf to every fan attending Alan Shearer's recent testimonial.
"That decision sparked scenes which added unforgettable colour to an already memorable night".
The "SUCCESS" of a free scarf to each fan? A nice gesture, sure enough, but "success" has us a bit baffled. But not as baffled as the line "added unforgettable colour". Yep ... black and white are indeed colours ... but come on.
