Carlisle gave several unnamed players a chance to show their talents but the performance failed to impress.
Keith Curle: "No one has snapped my hands off.
"I spoke to one of the clubs where the trialists had come from, who said the best thing is that it's a wake-up call.
"They've looked at Carlisle, bottom of League Two, a point adrift and we're not snapping their hands off to take those kids.
"At this particular time, we're not ready to take them on board."
