Newcastle will play away to Birmingham City in the 3rd round of the FA Cup.
The Mackems and Boro both were drawn at home - Sunderland facing Burnley and the Smogs drawing Sheffield Wednesday.
We were drawn against Birmingham in 2007 and drew 2-2 at St Andrews but lost 5-1 at St James' Park in the replay. That was the only time we have been drawn together in that competition.
However we went to St Andrews twice in 2000 and 2001 in the League Cup and lost both times.
