Alan Pardew: “I just think we’ve kind of shown real solid team performances in the three (games) without really getting a break on goal.

“So many times we could have got a break (against Gillingham) and got a second goal or a third goal. It didn’t happen for us.

“We’re hoping, on Saturday, that we get a break, as it would be nice to score two or more goals.

“The way Palace play, and how quick they are on the break, you sense there’s a possibility they could score, so it might mean that we do need to get two or three goals.

“That’s what our focus must be.”
