The Toon defender missed the first four matches of pre-season with an Achilles problem, but is set for Bolton.

Beye didn't travel to Libya with Senegal for their 0-0 draw in Tripoli, this week.

Beye: "Now we play Bolton at home - we need to win and that would complete a good start.

"Everybody is happy to come back to play in front of a full house at St James's Park.

"I'm not back to 100% yet, and Man U was my first 90 minutes, so it was quite hard towards the end.

"I feel OK though, I just need games.

"After three or four games, I will be back to 100% - maybe at Arsenal.

"It was a good start against Man U. Nobody expected us to pick up one point - or nearly three.

"But when you play Man U away it's good to get a 1-1 draw.

"It was a great game for us, Oba scored first and then we conceded with 10 men when Tayls was injured.

"It's hard enough with 11 v 11.

"The team was solid and it's important for the start of the season."
