Birmingham are keen to hold onto their player of the season but know the player will have the last word.

The only offer has been from Newcastle, and Brum must be hoping more clubs up the bidding on a player who is sure to be on his way ... sooner rather than later.

But Kevin Keegan wants the deal sorted, and the offer on the table will be Newcastle's last.

According to reports from St James' Park,Keegane wants an answer - yes or no - by the weekend.

Daily Star: "His agent has made it clear to Birmingham that Larsson does not want to be in the Championship next season and that he wants to be in the Premier League.

"There are four or five clubs interested in taking him, but Newcastle and Blackburn are the main ones.

"Birmingham do not appear to want to negotiate at the moment.

"Larsson is just waiting to see if someone will offer the right kind of money but he has made it clear to Birmingham that he does not want to stay."
