Arsenal are being linked with a move for Newcastle United’s Cheick Tiote, and Arsene Wenger may finally get his man.
The defensive midfielder's tough tackling ways have won him many fans at Newcastle when he showed even less discipline than Chelsea's 'Chopper' Harris.
He has picked up 42 yellow cards in just 107 Premier League appearances, but in his first season it was one card every two games ... so obviously he is improving.
But take away the bite and you take away the player.
To his credit, he has only had one red card during his Newcastle stay, although many Toon fans will say that is something of a miracle.
The media reports claim that Arsenal are considering an £8m bid for the player whose contract runs with the Magpies until 2017.
Wenger has been a fan of the player for years, but knowing Mike Ashley it is unlikely that he would accept a bid that low for a player who still has three years left on his current deal.
Ashley will probably hold out until the last day of the transfer market.
Titote is 28 and at the top of his career. Should we keep him or sell him on.
