The Way To Beat Man Utd ....

Newcastle are slowing being dragged into the relegation, and with Man Utd visiting St James' Park, and a visit to White Hart Lane to follow, the fixture list is not too kind to the Mags at the moment.
JOHN BERESFORD: "Newcastle must be adventurous against Man U or they won't stand a chance.
"Man United will take control if you try to sit back and nick the lead. You need to throw everything at them and get into their faces.
"You could easily finish up with a hiding if you don't. That's happened up here before and it would be a rotten way to see in the new year.
"To be fair, I don't think the fans would accept that anyway - they'll get right behind them.
"I was at Old Trafford earlier in the season when United lost 2-0 and when I was walking away from the ground a lot of people were simply disillusioned by the performance. We didn't go for it at all that day."
"The game against Spurs was just like the good old days. I think there was one sequence when Scott Parker threw his whole body in for a challenge and then, as soon as the ball was loose, Nicky Butt did exactly the same.
"After that, it was just wave after wave of attack. You cannot fault that sort of commitment.
"It always was, and always will be, a huge game. I loved the 5-0 and still have the video. But the game when we lost 1-0 sticks in my mind too.
"That day we murdered them in the first half and I remember Les Ferdinand was astonished he hadn't scored at the break.
"In the end it helped them win the title, but hopefully there'll be some good memories from this one."
