The Top Four Are Leaving Us Behind

The Royals boss says the only way the Premiership could be competitive is if the top four gave us all a two goal start.

Coppell: "The league is not an even competition, it is very much a handicap one.

"It would be the best league in the world if Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool gave us a two-goal start.

"Realistically, in terms of resources and depth of squad we should have a two-goal start. What a test it would be for them on a weekly basis.

"I was hearing on the radio that Jose Mourinho's favourite result is 2-0 because his players haven't needed to over-exert themselves. They have a cushion to be well in front but haven't had to push the squad.

"Just imagine if they needed to win 3-0 every week, what a great league it would be. It would even things up."
