The Most Unlikely Toon Partnership

Jackie Milburn - George Robledo; Wyn Davies - Pop Robson; Supermac - John Tudor; Chris Waddle - Kevin Keegan; Andy Cole - Peter Beardsley; Alan Shearer - Les Ferdinand.

So what about Antoine Sibierski and Oba Martins? OK, we all know the plan is Michael Owen and Martins, but the Frenchman believes he has what it takes to make the partnership a success ... even though he is not offically classed as a striker.

Sibierski: "I have not scored for one month now and that seems a long time.
My aim is to score a goal as quickly as possible. Oba is doing well - he has scored many goals with some great strikes amongst them.

"That is good for us but we need another striker to get goals too.

"It would be good if that happened in the next game against Villa. I enjoy playing with Oba because he is not selfish and he creates chances for me.

"We play as team-mates and that can benefit Newcastle.

"I feel much better after the injury I got when I was kicked in the head against Birmingham. It was difficult at first because I had two kicks in my head and after it I had a headache every day.

"It went on for three or four days but now I am OK again and I will be fine for Aston Villa. We need to win against Villa because we are nine points behind sixth place.

"It is important to get back to winning ways.

"I know Glenn would like to sign me and I would like to stay. I have really enjoyed my time at Newcastle and everything they have gave me I would like to repay.

"But the future is not urgent it is about beating Aston Villa and later we can think about next season."
