The Monkey Hangers Beat The Baggies - So Can We!

West Brom have had their moments this season, with a win at ICI City against the Smoggies arguably the highlight.

But Hartlepool knocked them out of the Carling Cup, and their last two games have seen them humiliated against Manchester Utd (4-0) and at home to Hull City (3-0).

Tony Mowbray: "I'm sure they will get out of the bottom three in the not too distant future.

"They have paid a lot of money for some of their players. They have reputations that are warranted as they have played well in the Premier League for a number of years.

"We are a team, on the other hand, who are dipping our toes in the Premier League and waiting to see how we come out. We are enjoying that challenge.

"Newcastle's aspirations should be elsewhere than making sure they stay out of the bottom three.

"I know that Newcastle will be hurting as they lost a big game at the weekend.

"They find themselves still in the bottom three and they are still looking to get their season up and running.

"Results have turned slightly in their favour since Mr Kinnear came in as manager.

"They have picked up a few draws. I saw them at Manchester City and they are doing okay and have some very talented players.

"I am pretty sure in my mind that they will get their season up and running with the quality players they possess.

"Like all clubs, you have to have your best players on the pitch and not on the treatment table.

"There is a real challenge for us at Newcastle. If we go there and get our noses in front, the supporters up there will not be happy.

"Somewhere along the line, the team will surprise you. There is no game we write off.

"We just look at the next one and Newcastle is an opportunity for us. Blackburn is not going to be more easier or difficult than any other match.

"We have seen that all games are tough as there are no easy matches in the Premier League.

"No longer are we in a division where we are expected to win every week. We just have to pick up results along the way.

"We must not get too downhearted or get engulfed by any negative media coverage.

"You have to keep going and win points along the way and the points will be accumulated.

"If you lose two or three on the bounce you put them behind you very quickly because you can win one or two over the next few weeks. Before you know it, you have 30 or 40 points."
