Mario Balotelli has admitted he does not enjoy life in Manchester, but the Italian striker is tied to Manchester City until 2015 after joining the club in a big-money deal from Inter Milan last summer.

Balotelli's says his first season in the Premier League was not what he expected because he suffers from homesickness.

David Ginola still talks about the fabulous Geordies and how he "had a fabulous time at Newcastle" ... but the fact of the matter is ... he couldn't wait to get away!

After his first season he said in July 1997: "I miss France and I would like to return there soon, I don't know how long I will stay in England."

They came in their hoards from sunny climates and couldn't settle in Newcastle - Marcelino, Luque, Guivarc'h, Georgiadis, Gavilan, Cordone, Bassedas,Vianna, Martins, and Emre. Internationals, each and every one.

Mario Balotelli: "I am not well in Manchester, I don't like the city.

"I'm happy with the coach and within the team, but you can't have everything in life.

"I don't miss Milan, I miss Brescia, my home. I miss my family and my friends.

"I don't know if I will stay until the end of my contract.

"I'm here for now and then we'll see.

"AC Milan? It's a great club, one day it could happen."
