He insists referee Phil Dowd was right not to award a penalty against him in Saturday's goalless draw with Portsmouth at Fratton Park.
Taylor: "Kanu had a shot, and I just stuck my leg out.
"The ball bounced up, and hit my hand as I pulled away.
"I didn't deliberately handball it. It just flashed up and hit my hand. I couldn't do anything about it.
"That shot was one of those things you've got to bring out every now and again.
"It would have been something special had that one gone in, and you wouldn't have heard the end of it if it had, trust me!"
