Taylor Misses Man City Game

Taylor now misses Saturday's game with Manchester City at St James' Park and was a bitter blow to the kid who was given the nod over Titus Bramble on Sunday. But he continues to carry out vendettas - and makes it obvious to everyone - when other defenders are more "cute" about it. Rio Ferdinand and John Terry take no prisoners, but know how to get away with it.
Taylor received two yellow cards, both for fouls against Bellamy on either side of half-time, and the disappointed United defender said after the game: "I have no complaints about the first yellow card, but the second one was a joke and Bellamy definitely made a meal of it. He also tried a bit of banter throughout the game but it was something I'm used to.
"But Craig Bellamy is a great player and we are delighted that he did not hurt us and that we kept a clean sheet. What is particularly disappointing for me is that after being injured against Fulham I worked hard in training to get fit and then this goes and happens."
Just like last season when Taylor up a red card when he had no alternative to handle on the goalline after a terrible error by Nicky Butt, he picked up the first card at Blackburn trying to bail out Jean Alain Boumsong who slipped.
"Jean Alain did apologise to me but he did not have to really. We all work for the team and we are all in this together. I just had to get on with it."
