The club takes on Chelsea at St James’s Park in the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup tonight (7.05pm kick-off).

Dave Watson: “They’re all really looking forward to it.

“The build-up to it has been fantastic, and I’m sure the kids will get a great turnout. Let’s hope we can put in a good performance.

“It’s a little bit special playing at St James’s Park, especially against a team as big as Chelsea.

“The kids will have their friends and families there. It’ll be a great occasion. Sometimes kids only get one chance to play at St James’s Park.

“But we’ve been fortunate that we’ve had a couple of home games now.

“It’s the highlight of some kids’ careers. Not every kid is going to make it in football. This could be something they look back on for the rest of their lives.

“Whether it’s the reserves, youth team or Under-16s, it’s always great when teams are winning.

“It does give the club a boost. If we can get a result that will give the club a boost, that’s fantastic. We’ll certainly be doing our utmost to achieve that.”

Admission to the East Stand is £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
