St James' Park To Host World Cup?

England is making a solo bid to host the 2015 tournament, and if successful, it will be staged at 11 venues in 10 different cities across the country, ranging from traditional rugby grounds to football stadiums.

St James's Park is one of the venues included in England's bid, details of which were made public today.

Other football grounds being lined up are Anfield, Liverpool, Old Trafford, Manchester, Arsenals' Emirates stadium and the new Wembley.
