Spurs Ace Wants To Stem Toon Start!

He says Spurs will have to soak up early pressure against Newcastle on Monday when they go in search of only their second League win of the season.
 
Spurs have conceded 18 goals from their nine league games and Newcastle are a cast-iron cert to find the net at St James' Park.

How will Spurs handle it?

Bent: "Newcastle start really fast and we've got to be prepared for that.

"They've got some good players, while they also let some go in the summer so it evens itself out. We know what we need to do and we are looking forward to it."

Tottenham will be without skipper Ledley King has targeted a return to full training in around two weeks following knee surgery in the summer.

Martin Jol: "He's still making progress and hopefully he will be back with the group in two weeks' time, maybe longer.

"I'm used to it because he was out of the team injured last year for seven months, so hopefully when he returns now he will be back for a lot of games.
"He's training in a smaller group and that is good.

"Hopefully in two weeks he will join us. He's naturally fit so hopefully it would take another two or three weeks (from then)."
