It has been a bizarre situation, because the Argentine winger was allowed to play in the pre-season fixtures against Hertha Berlin, Valencia and PSV ... but United were not cleared to play him in the league because of registration problems ... caused by his previous club.

He joined the Magpies from Real Mallorca and the Spanish club have finally got their arse into gear and accepted the deal has been done.
