The inspirational Welshman was forced off midway through the second half and Sir Bobby fears that he will be missing for several weeks.
"He (Speed)'s only recently had a hernia operation and this injury now is quite disturbing for him," said Sir Bobby.
"We are well covered with JJ and Keiron Dyer in midfield but Gary will still be a big miss for us."
