Souness Waiting Game

Graeme Souness waits for the return of the walking wounded after the international break. Steve Taylor returned from the England Under-21 match with no worries, and a superb performance behind him. And with Titus Bramble ruled out with a hamstring injury, Taylor is sure to play.
Left-back Celestine Babayaro is also unavailable after tearing his groin, leaving manager Graeme Souness short at the back even before he assesses the fitness of Jean-Alain Boumsong and Stephen Carr on their return from international duty today. Albert Luque, Kieron Dyer and Nolberto Solano are also expected to miss the game through injury.
Turkish midfielder Emre should be available for selection, having played the second half of last night's World Cup play-off clinching 1-0 win in Albania.
