Souness To Face Tough 90 Minutes

Should the Magpies lose to a Sunderland side who returned to the relegation zone following their 3-1 defeat against Manchester United at the weekend, the heat would again rise on Souness.
The fans have given the man 13 months, in which time there seems to be no progession. Better players - sure, but has so far failed to the give the long suffering supporters anything that suggests he is the man to bring success to this club. A further defeat for the Tynesiders, against their biggest rivals, must surely signal the end.
Souness hopes to play Nobby Solano at some point in the match. "We should have him back, we have waited a long time for this," said Souness, who is also hoping Lee Bowyer will be available following the knee problem which curtailed his involvement at the JJB Stadium. "There's not too much wrong at the back but, going forward, we are not creating the stuff I want my teams to create."
