Barry Robson: “I played in a few Old Firm derbies and so I know what they are all about.

“I know what derbies mean to football clubs. But I don’t want to say that I know what it’s like to play in a North-east derby.

“I just want to go out on the pitch and try to prove myself. It’s a game we’re all looking forward to.

“The Celtic-Rangers games, there’s nothing like them in the world.

“They are played at a frantic pace and sometimes it’s all about who runs the fastest and jumps the highest.

“Sometimes it takes a quality moment or a quality goal to win it.

“We know that Newcastle have plenty of quality in their team, but it’s going to be hard and it’s going to be tough for both sides.

“It’s often the team with the greatest desire on the day which wins an Old Firm derby. I’m sure that won’t be any different at the Riverside.”
