Smith Had Better Wise Up ... He's On His Way

"No news is good news" as far as Smith is concerned, but personally I think the ex-Leeds striker is grasping staws. He is on his way out of Old Trafford, and he may as well wise up to the fact.
Smith is still hanging onto the hope that Ferguson's failure to land a goal machine this summer could prolong his stay at Old Trafford.
Smith conceded earlier in the summer that he would be ready to quit the club if assurances were not forthcoming and Newcastle are not the only club looking at him. Everton, West Ham, Sunderland and Portsmouth are also said to be ready to offer him a deal.
Smith: "I don't want to leave. We need forwards and I want to have a proper go this season."
