Scott Sellars: "It's a really interesting game and to be honest it could not be a more controversial fixture after Sam left Bolton.

"But once the fuss dies down after the kick-off it's a fresh start for the United players and they will want to impress their manager at Premiership level.

"There have been plenty of changes in playing staff and in the boardroom, so these can be exciting times for Newcastle this season.

"Alan Smith and Mark Viduka are both top- class players and will want to make their debuts at Bolton something special.

"Some real quality has been added to the squad at Newcastle and it would be great to see them score plenty of goals for the club.

"Plus there is also Michael Owen to come into the equation.

"He hasn't been fit over the last two years but now he is getting back on his feet, it gives Newcastle a great choice up front.

"Oba Martins will also have something to say about this.

"I think it might be tight, but I just fancy Newcastle to nick it.

"With Sam Allardyce coming into the club, he'll want to get off to the best possible start and I think that will be the overriding factor tomorrow."

Sheffield-born winger signed by Kevin Keegan for £600,000 from Leeds Utd.

Classy player despite his slight frame, he was capped by England at Under-21 level.

Sold to Bolton in 1995 when David Ginola arrived.

Remembered for a classic free kick against Sunderland. And if you want to become a Geordie legend ... that's the way to do it.
