Sky TV 'Rent A Mob' At St James' Park!

Like the rest of you, even if you don't support the Toon....even if you don't even follow football infact....have read hundreds of reports lately about the goings-on with Newcastle United.

Just what is it that draws these journalists to our club like this? I mean ok, a manager resigned....infact two managers resigned but only one dominates the headlines. That in itself is quite strange when you consider what can only be described as a media free-for-all has just begun in such frenzied fashion around the club.

If it's not Owen and his contract, or Martins getting sold to Arsenal, it's Barton and his troubles. And yes I did say 'his' troubles because frankly enough is enough.

He has served his sentance and been punished enough, any more could see a young man destroyed forever. What Joey did was wrong, but sacking him would have helped nobody. He would still be Joey Barton...only Joey Barton without something in his life worth changing for. The media have gone too far now in his case. The video footage of someone waiting for him to get in his car then following him....it wouldnt supirse me if these people are trying to provoke a reaction from him by following him.

Barton aside, there is plenty more strips to tear off the club for the hovering vultures who sadly these days, are not only representing the tabloids. The internet changed all that. Now all a hack has to do is read club message boards, pick up the general tone of fans feeling and off they go making mischief. Would you be suprised if journalists where setting up users in these fans forums? Would you?

Newcastle fans, and I'm of them....we need to wake up and finaly smell some coffee. Yes we all love Keegan but this whole Keegan thing was always going to end like this. I completely agree with Keegan's stance in terms of transfer policy on the one hand....but on the other hand...KK has got to be stronger than this. He has known about the Wise/Jimenez set-up for as long as we have and has only blown a gasket once the window has closed and he hasn't got the players in that he wanted...like a kid who gets the wrong bike for christmas, without even trying it to see if it might even be better than the one he asked for.

Would he have walked if Wise had signed Robinho? I doubt it very much. And yet who's to say that our new Spanish striker woun't do better that the Brazilian in the Premier League? You have to feel Xisco right now.

KK is right for wanting his own players, but he could at least wait and see how good these new players are before spitting out the dummy. Afterall we are only one CB short. We have 25 players now in the squad and that doesnt include any youngsters other than Edgar. Crisis? We had Titus Bramble and Boumsong a couple of seasons ago with Elliott and Ramage on the bench!

Mike Ashley of course isn't exempt from blame here. Communication with fans and his manager has been poor and his preference to silence only generates more speculation and uncertainty.....just who is the new MD? Derek who? I'm sorry but anyone who wears national health glasses shouldn't be chairman of a Premier League club...and vice versa.

I can see where Ashley is going with the whole three tier set-up and the guy is new to owning a football club but I think he has really tried to do well. He has paid a lot of money for the club and paid of the debts and other than the fact he chose the wrong people for the jobs...which sorry to say, I believe Keegan was also...he has done a lot to try and please the fans.

We shouted for Big Sam's head and he sacked him and brought in our hero....the problem was his lack of due dilligence on the club or Keegan. Had he done that though, chances are he wouldn't have bought the club and Fred would still be here....oh no because we shouted for his neck too....so who knows where we would be?

My point is, the club goes on and may still after we all die....we have to move on and just hope that Mike Ashley is ready to start listening to the fans. And when I say fans, I'm not refering to the rent-a-mob so-called Toon faithfull on the BBC. I mean howay for crying out loud, a guy in a Juventus shirt talking about never going back to SJP? Are they having a laugh or what?

Mike Ashley hopefully will just come out and communicate with fans about his intentions going forward. He CAN NOT leave the media to speculate and in far too many cases fabricate.

NUFC for life!
