Amid press reports that as many as six new faces could be in the line-up for the opening day of next season Sir Bobby was keen to reassure the current playing staff that he believes that they are good enough to win trophies.
"We think those same players can go one step further next season," he told The Journal.
"Next year I'm sure that some of our younger players will be even better and that might be sufficient. They can only improve and time will make them great players.
"Those players got us into third position last season and we already have a very good squad. But I will meet the chairman this week and we will see whether there's anything else we can do."
