Sir Bobby Reaches £1m Target!
The Night of All Knights featured some of the biggest names from the world of sport, including Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Bobby Charlton and Alan Shearer, as well as Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall.
The event was organised by former cricketer Michael Roseberry and journalist Bob Cass for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.
Older readers of this site will probably remember the famous quote from Bob Cass when he was reporting on the League Cup semi-final against Spurs back in 1976.
The first leg was at White Hart Lane and we were trailing 1-0, when Cass said:
"It's Macdonald with the ball, he's on his way to goal, it's in ... GOAL! GOAL! No the referee says he was offside. Was he SHITE!"
