Sir Bobby delighted with victory

A familiar sight
Sir Bobby

"I said before the game that it was important to improve our away form if we were to have any hopes of getting into the top four, so for that reason I'm delighted to get the three points.

"Villa have been in fine form at home in their last few games, and they've been scoring goals for fun so it was good for us to keep a clean sheet.

"Villa Park is always a difficult place to come to, but we've played well, kept plugging away and we got our rewards in the end."

Graham Taylor

"I felt we deserved a minimum of a draw but you will pay the price if you don't take chances when on top and then leave the most prolific goalscorer in the Premiership in the position he found himself.

"He scored that sort of goal so many times, climbing over the back defender and attacking the ball like that.

"We were very good in the first half and should have scored twice and in the second half. Juan Pablo Angel would have been disappointed not to put his chance away."
