The young striker produced another good performance against Bayer Leverkusen and has been told by Sir Bobby that he is the future of Newcastle’s attack.
"I won't apologise to Shola but I will talk to him. I thought he had a fine match against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday night," Sir Bobby told the Evening Chronicle.
"And the skill he showed when he set up that chance for Alan Shearer in the second half was truly wonderful.
"But it did not surprise me, because I see the lad in training every day and I know what he can do.
"He is a Geordie who wants nothing more than to do well for us.
"But fortunately he is a patient lad and he knows what kind of future lies ahead for him. He is prepared to wait for his time."
